Oneself, indeed, is one’s refuge,
For who else could be one’s refuge?
With oneself well-trained
One obtains a refuge difficult to find.

Attā hi attano nātho,
ko hi nātho paro siyā;
Attanā hi sudantena,
nāthaṁ labhati dullabhaṁ.
